Today the old email server hardware (a Celeron with only 1 gig of RAM!) was transferred to a new dual Xeon machine running Ubuntu Server, Postfix and Dovecot. As a result the errors you have been seeing as of late will be fixed, and over speed will increase greatly.

 Also outgoing email can use SMTP Auth mechanism instead of the 'POP-before-SMTP' method that was used previously. Just use your email login to send mail easily from dynamic IP addresses.

 

A second choice for your webmail client has been installed on the Raincross servers. We had been using Squirrelmail for quite some time, but RoundCube is a nicely laid-out Web2.0 Email client that is in my opinion much nicer to use.

It provides full functionality you expect from an e-mail client, including MIME support, address book, folder manipulation, message searching and spell checking.
